Ana Beatriz Pérez Enríquez
Havana, Cuba 1972
TRAINING
Graduated from the National School of Arts in Havana in the specialty of modern and folk dance (1984-1991).
For 10 years she was a member of the Contemporary Dance Company of Cuba, with which she participated in various national and international festivals and various artistic tours in America and Europe, achieving the title of prima ballerina.
In 2001 she moved to Spain invited by the Druida Danza Company. She has danced with the company Druida Danza, Experimenta Danza and Trespasando with which she won two choreography awards and participated in different festivals and galas in various Spanish cities until 2004.
In 2006 she became part of the Entremans Company and continues to this day.
From 2006 to 2009 she participated in the three productions of the Galician Choreographic Center "Vacuo" by Maruxa Salas, "El kiosco de las almas perdidas" by Roberto Oliván and "Giseliña" by Cisco Aznar.
She collaborates in the project "O corazón na Botella" at the Galén Educational Center in the city of Lugo.
Together with Armando Martén she creates and performs the choreographic segments of the theater piece 0.7% Molotov by Santiago Cortegoso for the Ningures Theater Company.
She combines her artistic work with teaching and collaborates in various educational projects in the community.
She has hosted different workshops and regular classes:
Dance workshop for Lenka Bartunkova's Pez project in Prague, Czech Republic.
Creation workshop for the Festival Visões Urbanas de São Paulo, Brazil.
Dance course for the Corpo a Terra Festival- 9th edition.
Dance course at the Professional Conservatory of Lugo.
Regular classes for the Compañía Nova Galega de Danza.
Regular classes at Artestudio Dance and Theater and at the Municipal School of Oleiros. Summer workshop for the Ruth Page Center in Chicago.
Online workshop for the Ruth Page Center in Chicago.
She obtained a degree in Pedagogy of Contemporary Dance Style Dance from the María de Ávila Superior Dance Conservatory in Madrid.
Created and directed the virtual dance piece HOME with the Chicago Hedwig Dances Company that premiered on March 7, 2021.
AWARDS
1990. First prize for interpretation in the UNEAC Dance Contest, Cuba.
2001. Third prize for choreography at the Madrid Choreographic Contest with Trespasando.
2003. Third prize in the first Choreographic Contest of Galicia, with the piece ERA by Bárbara Monteagudo.
2006. First prize in the V Burgos-New York Choreographic Contest in the city of Burgos with the piece “En la cuenca de tus ojos”.
2006. First prize in the IV Choreographic Contest of Galicia and special prize for outstanding dancer in the same edition of the Festival for the piece “En la cuenca de tus ojos"
